Product information "Montessori Rotating Drum"
The rainbow drum combines modern design with profound developmental psychological benefits: It appeals to visual, auditory and motor senses, supports balance and strength development and accompanies babies from 6 months through the various stages of development - from lying to sitting and standing. The wooden spinning drum arouses curiosity in children aged from around 6 months: babies can lie on their stomachs, lean on their forearms and watch the colourful spinning and the sound of the integrated wooden ball with fascination. Visually following the movement and grasping the drum strengthens the torso, neck and sense of balance, which are important developmental steps on the way to the crawling position. When seated, turning the drum with both hands encourages simultaneous movement and strengthens the hand, arm and shoulder muscles. The accompanying sound play promotes the development of auditory perception and motivates repetition - a long-lasting activity in which toddlers experience the connection between cause and effect.
